Homemade BBQ Crisps

Directions

  • Mix the paprika, salt, garlic salt and cayenne pepper together very well and set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, add enough iced water to cover the potatoes and leave to soak for about an hour.
  • Run cold water over the potatoes to release more starch. Drain and dry the potatoes in batches using paper towels until well dried.
  • Heat oil in a large pot and carefully fry the potatoes in batches until crispy and golden. Drain thoroughly on paper towels.
  • Place the chips into a large mixing bowl and use a sieve to sprinkle the paprika seasoning over the chips. Toss to combine. Allow the chips to cool completely before serving

  • 30 ml paprika
  • 2.50 ml salt
  • 10 ml garlic salt
  • 5 ml cayenne pepper
  • 2 large potatoes, washed and thinly sliced
  • Vegetable oil, to fry
