Lekker Potato & Chuck Gatsby

Directions

  • Sauté the onion for a few seconds, then add the chuck and remaining ingredients and simmer for (+/-15 minutes), stirring occasionally.
  • Add more beer only if it is necessary.
  • Cut the loaf in half lengthways and butter well. Lay the lettuce then the chuck and finally with the baked potato chips, cut in half and serve.

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 kg beef chuck
  • 60 ml (¼ cup) milk stout beer
  • 15 ml (1tbsp) sweet chilli chutney
  • Salt, to taste
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp) mild curry powder
  • 250 g (1 punnet) button mushrooms, quartered
  • <h3>Ingredients for Gatsby:</h3>
  • 1 French loaf
  • Lettuce, shredded
  • 200 g potato chips, baked
