Sishebo

Ideal for family dinners or special occasions, offering a taste of tradition and warmth in every bite.
Ingredients
- 800g chicken braai pack
- 30ml chicken spice
- 30ml oil
- 1 chopped onion
- 3 chopped carrots
- 3 potatoes, cubed
- 10ml medium curry powder
- 500ml chicken stock
- 30ml cream of chicken soup powder
- 10ml vinegar
- 1ml sugar
- 1 chopped green pepper
Directions
- Season the chicken with chicken spice, ensuring that all sides of the chicken pieces are coated evenly.
- Heat oil in a pot over medium-high heat until it shimmers. Add the seasoned chicken pieces and cook until they are golden brown on all sides.
- Once the chicken is browned, add the onions, carrots, and potatoes to the pot. Stir well to combine with the chicken and cook for a few minutes, allowing the vegetables to soften
- Add curry and stir, then add the stock.
- In a cup, add the soup powder, vinegar and sugar.
- Stir in the green pepper and season the chicken curry with salt and pepper to taste.
